THE APRM'S CONSTITUTION & BYLAWS

The APRM is a society register under the BC Societies Act, and as such has a Constitution and Bylaws setting out the organization's overall purpose and rules respecting its internal affairs.

The Constitution includes (but is not limited to) provisions on the following:

  • Name and objective of the society

  • Membership

  • Voting

  • Election

  • Fees

  • Executive and the duties of the APRM’s Officers

  • General meetings, including the Annual General Meeting

  • Special provisions

  • Administrative matters, such as the financial year, borrowing, inspection of books, privacy, rules of order and amending the Constitution.

 

The Constitution was amended on August 12, 2020.

The APRM

The APRM is dedicated to preserving the rural life and peaceful co-existence of homes, farmlands, forests, natural habitats and trails in our community. The APRM engages individuals and organizations through solid working relationships in the task of protecting our rural values. It informs members and the general public of threats, opportunities and issues impacting our future as a rural community.
